Since 2000, Sarah Valentine’s Photography has been
professionally
photographing weddings, families, animals, homes, businesses and
gardens in their best light and has been a photographer
since the age of 13, when her Mother bought her first
Canon AE-1. Sarah’s true passion for photography
stems from her love of colors, shadows, lines and
textures, and whether she is shooting for a commercial
ad for a large development or a small wedding, her
strengths lies in the use of light and composition. She
thrives on repeat business by developing relationships
with her clients. She makes professional quality

Testimonials
Thank you
for making our day so special and taking
beautiful pictures.
“We hired Sarah to be our
photographer for our elopement at Old Edwards
Inn and Spa in Highlands, N.C. Sarah did an
excellent job at capturing us at just the right
moment for our photos. The pictures are
beautiful and they are more than I ever
expected. She had our photoshow ready for us to
view within 2 weeks. Our photobook shows the
story of our day and it will bring smiles to my
face for years to come. Thank you Sarah!!!”

Happy New
Year Sarah,
I finally
ordered my pictures today. My favorite one that I would
like as a 13 X 19 from you is the third one in your
preview that is imbedded in your e-mail. It is the one
with 9 family members in it. Thank you again for these
great pictures.
Hope to
see you in the future for another sitting.
Gratefully,
Lawson

Bio
|
Even
as a child, photography fired Sarah Valentine’s
imagination. She learned the power of images from her
real father, who had a passion for travel and photography.
Many of his large safari photos hung on the walls of her
bedroom. Seeing the strength and grace of a cheetah
hanging from a tree made her want to duplicate that
experience. Her freshman year in high school at
Oldfields
School, Sarah
studied Ansel Adam’s zone system of exposure and
darkroom techniques. By her senior year, she was the
year book photographer. |
|
In
2000 she started
Sarah’s Visual
Tours,
providing an internet marketing service for realtors as
a part time venture in Marco Island, Florida. After
moving to Highlands, North Carolina in 2002, it became a
full time venture. The studio name, Rainhouse
Productions, reflects the new multimedia
marketing services that it now offers with the addition
of web site design, commercial photography, stock photos
and fine art photography as well as visual tours. The
additional tools help meet the ever changing marketing
demands in her community that include builders,
developers and realtors.
|
|
In 2008, Sarah has added portraits and weddings to the
portfolio and has done away with Rainhouse Productions and
now preferably goes by Sarah Valentine
Photography or sValentine Photos
or the Highlands Photographer.
Successfully filling my schedule as fast as I can make
it. I now work with the Laurel Magazine
and cover community activities throughout the
Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. |
|
In 2010, Sarah
opened a Wedding and Portrait Studio on the "Hill" next
door to Highlands Gem Shop and across the street from
Old Edwards Inn & Spa at Greenleaf Gallery 211 South
Fourth Street. She takes appointments only and looking
forward to being in every household between Highlands
and Cashiers, NC and between DC, Baltimore and Richmond,
Va where she is from. |
|
Sarah
continues to seek opportunities to improve her skills.
Her vision is to travel and through her photographs
awaken awareness of the environment world-wide.
